Meet Sophie

Sophie is a midwife and birth educator, with  a background in cardiology nursing. She was drawn to midwifery by a deep respect for the strength of women and a passion for supporting them through one of life’s most transformative experiences.

Her philosophy centres on informed choice, gentle support, and building trusting relationships with the women she works with. Sophie is passionate about helping women feel confident in their bodies and decisions, creating a safe and nurturing space.

She believes that when women feel supported and empowered, birth can be an incredibly positive and meaningful experience.

Outside of work, you’ll find her by the ocean, spending time with family and friends, or working through her ever-changing list of hobbies.

Midwife Allie who runs birth classes at Ipswich
Meet Allie

Allie is the founder of The Good Birth, Endorsed Midwife, and educator with over 12 years of experience supporting women and families.

She created these classes from a deep passion for changing the culture of birth. After witnessing hundreds of births throughout her career, she strongly believes birth can be a positive, powerful and transformative experience when women feel informed, safe and genuinely supported.

Unfortunately, our culture often surrounds birth with fear, trauma and misinformation, leaving many families feeling disconnected from their instincts and unsure of their options.

She is also deeply passionate about the importance of a supported postpartum period, giving both parents and babies the best possible start together.
