Meet the Team

Founder, Endorsed Midwife
Allie Hojnik
Allie created these classes from a deep passion for changing the culture of birth. After witnessing hundreds of births over more than 12 years, she strongly believes birth can be a positive, powerful and transformative experience when women feel informed, safe and genuinely supported. Unfortunately, our culture often surrounds birth with fear, trauma and misinformation, leaving many families feeling disconnected from their instincts and unsure of their options. She is also deeply passionate about the importance of a supported postpartum period, giving both parents and babies the best possible start together.

Registered Midwife
Sophie
Sophie is a midwife and birth educator, with a background in cardiology nursing. She was drawn to midwifery by a deep respect for the strength of women and a passion for supporting them through one of life’s most transformative experiences. Her philosophy centres on informed choice, gentle support, and building trusting relationships with the women she works with. Sophie is passionate about helping women feel confident in their bodies and decisions, creating a safe and nurturing space. She believes that when women feel supported and empowered, birth can be an incredibly positive and meaningful experience. Outside of work, you’ll find her by the ocean, spending time with family and friends, or working through her ever-changing list of hobbies.

Registered Midwife
Rachel
With 13+ years as a midwife and a seasoned mum, Rachel brings the perfect mix of experience, genuine warmth, and practical advice. She knows that knowledge and confidence go hand in hand when preparing for life’s biggest moment. She is also a personal trainer. Rachel turned her love of health and movement into Absolute Fitness ↗, her boutique home studio on the Gold Coast helping women feel empowered, strong, and capable! She’s also mum to kind and caring 9yo Archie and has been happily married for 14 years so she speaks from lived experience as much as professional knowledge. She understands the mix of excitement, nerves, and questions that come with pregnancy because she’s been there too. One thing she wishes every woman knew about birth: “It can be the greatest, most powerful experience of your life!”
