There is often a lack of access to postnatal care in the hospital birthing system when your life has changed more than it ever has before. This package offers thorough postnatal home care services for families wishing for additional support in the first 6 weeks of their newborn's life. All visits are conducted by experienced Endorsed Midwife Allie, who has 10 years of experience in the birth and newborn space. OFFERING: - 1 appointment (minimum 60mins) between 34-37 weeks of pregnancy to thoroughly understand your health history and circumstances, and make a tailored postpartum plan. - 5 postnatal appointments (minimum 60mins) until 6 weeks postpartum - Unlimited phone call or telehealth appointments for ongoing clinical support between appointments, during business hours (0900-1700). WHAT IS INCLUDED IN EACH POSTPARTUM VISIT?: - All home visits (within 25km driving distance of Brisbane CBD) - Birth debrief - Maternal postpartum assessments - Newborn assessments including weights and measurements - Collection of newborn screening test if required - Removal of wound dressing if required - Breastfeeding or chosen method of feeding support, including feeding plans - Education around maternal and newborn expectations - Newborn care, settling, sleeping, cues, and developmental milestone advice - Referrals to appropriate services and community resources - Comprehensive 6-week newborn discharge check - Transition and referral to GP upon discharge from midwifery care - Access to Brand Partners discount codes such as postpartum yoga, pilates, and women's health physiotherapy WHAT IS REQUIRED?: - Valid medicare card FEES: Total cost = $460 That is it for 6 home visits PLUS unlimited phone/video contact after the first pregnancy visit! Visits can be booked at your requested intervals based on availability. This means if you need more support at the beginning you can have more frequent visits, and then later space them apart, depending on your needs.​ ​ You are still advised to have a routine appointment with your GP for you and your newborn between 5-10 days and 6 weeks postpartum. A midwife appointment does not replace this. This service does not replace your antenatal or birth health care provider. This is for postnatal services only and all clients are required to have another booked provider for antenatal and birth care before booking this service.
