Single Postnatal Home Visit (90mins)
$100 out-of-pocket. 90-minute visit for Postnatal Mother & Baby with Endorsed Midwife Allie
〰️〰️〰️ CRITERIA: ▫️Medicare eligible ▫️Under 7 weeks post-birth ▫️Complete the Intake Form/Midwife Care Plan before attending (received after registering) ▫️Bring the Personal Health Record (red book) 〰️〰️〰️ WHAT CAN BE PROVIDED IN APPOINTMENTS: ▫️Maternal or newborn questions, concerns or checks ▫️Newborn weight and measurements ▫️Milestone assessment & advice ▫️Breastfeeding & other feeding support ▫️Bottle-feeding, pace-feeding support ▫️Neonatal screen test (NNST) collection ▫️Concerns with your newborn, e.g. skin, umbilical cord, blocked tear ducts ▫️Maternal assessment of perineum, breasts, caesarean wound, blood loss ▫️Caesarean wound dressing removal ▫️Newborn settling techniques ▫️Support with newborn skills such as nappy changing, swaddling, bathing, winding ▫️Concerns with infection (mum and/or baby) ▫️Worsening jaundice of the newborn (if signs of dehydration, attend hospital) 〰️〰️〰️ FEE: Out of pocket: $100 Payable at appointment before Medicare rebate: $262.60 〰️〰️〰️ WHAT IS NOT PROVIDED IN ANY MIDWIFE APPOINTMENTS: ▫️Emergency care for mother or newborn ▫️Immunisations ▫️Routine 1-week and 6-week mother and newborn assessments (typically completed by the regular GP)

You are welcome to attend as many weekly Drop-In Clinics as you wish. Telehealth or phone call follow-up is included at a bulk-billed fee after your 1st appointment. You are welcome to just call or video-chat between 9:00am - 5:00pm any day of the week (weekends included) to ask any follow-up questions without an appointment! You can message to schedule this call if preferred. Due to the nature of Midwife Allie's work, she may be in an appointment or busy when you call. She will call you back asap! You are welcome to leave a voice/text message. You are still advised to have a routine appointment with your GP for you and your newborn between 5-10 days and 6 weeks postpartum. A midwife appointment does not replace this. This service does not replace your routine healthcare provider. 〰️Home Visit Postnatal Care Packages are available.
