I'm Midwife Allie.

I created The Good Birth with the intention of empowering mothers and families to feel more positive about their birthing and early parenting journeys. The rates of birth trauma in Australia are horrifically high, with up to 1 in 3 women describing their birth as traumatic, not to mention how partners feel.
​
The Good Birth has become a labour of love (forgive the pun), to improve the disconnection and misinformation faced by familes in the pregnancy and birth space. These services are designed to offer you everything you thought you would learn from your antenatal appointments or hospital birth class but didn't!
I have worked in the birth space for 10 years and been a midwife for 7, a lot of it working in Midwifery Group Practice. Throughout that time I have witnessed hundreds of incredible births. But have also witnessed when birthing women and partners felt defeated and they thought... if only I had known, I would have done it all differently.
Everyone should have the opportunity for amazing antenatal education that empowers you to have your best birth experience to start off your next stage of life feeling powerful and full of oxytocin.

I am also an Endorsed Midwife, which means I have additional qualifications to provide private midwifery services that are medicare rebateable, allow me to refer to specialists, prescribe, request investigations and make the classes private health fund rebateable.

In my classes, I am passionate about talking about the reality of the birthing system so you get an honest outlook heading into birth. I provide evidence-based information, so you know what you are hearing is backed by quality research. I teach you tons of practical skills and coping strategies so you feel confident and capable.
Outside of work, I have an awesome husband who endlessly supports my crazy endeavors. I love traveling whenever and wherever I can. I am trudging through learning the Slovenian language, love my vege garden and plants, and foster cats and kittens.
